Chelation Therapy
This therapy involves administering an amino acid called EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic-acid) intravenously to treat a variety of diseases and conditions caused by calcium and heavy metal deposits in the arteries.
By introducing it into our organism, it manages to trap in its molecular structure ions of minerals and metals found in the bloodstream, in the walls of the arteries or joints, without affecting the calcium in the bone. By eliminating calcium deposits, it restores the elasticity of the arteries, allowing better nutrition of the cells and better action of the enzyme systems previously inhibited.
Chelation is presented as a form of treatment for degenerative diseases such as atherosclerosis. One of the effects of chelation is the removal of abnormal deposits and their elimination through urine.
It is important to start treatment before symptoms begin for best results and prevention, especially in high-risk groups such as high cholesterol, hypertension, and diabetes. Since, like aging, it has a period when it is reversible because the changes are occurring at a chemical level, not deteriorating the structure of the cells.
The physician will determine the number of sessions after an evaluation. This treatment improves the oxygenation and nutrition of the tissues of the circulatory system, which avoids some cardiovascular surgeries and prevents the deterioration of health due to aging.
